I love when I read the blog of other porn girls that actually sound like decent girls with a brain on their shoulders that LOVE what they do and are not doing for the wrong reasons.  Over my 7 years in this industry, I have seen a lot of  erotic models come and go and a lot who did what they did for the wrong reasons… Or worst, some girls who kept saying how they loved their job while they were in the biz, then woke up one day and started bashing the industry that made them who they are.  A few names are popping in my brain as I write this (cough, cough Jenna Jameson and many others…) but it wouldn’t be nice to mention them all in this post and give them indirectly some promo.  Anyways the goal of today’s blog is not to bash anybody, pretty much to opposite.  I was checking out twitter and the blog of this new girl Bree Daniels popped out with a very nice text.  I thought that it was so inspiring and taking the words out of my mouth that I have to share it with you today
I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I did… She really seem like an awesome person.

Stop making me out to be a victim of porn
All you former performers now working with the anti-porn community to remove us from our jobs: You made your choices as an adult, and if you didn’t inform yourself on possible consequences to your consensual actions, you can look in the mirror and point your damn fingers.
I’m not a victim. I am a happy, healthy entertainer, who works for herself, by herself. If your allowing yourself to be pimped out, and you don’t like it, change it! I understand how easy it is to be picked up by a pimp. They are a smooth talking, salesman type, who seem to have an answer for everything. Some of them are quite crafty. And they are EVERYWHERE with lot’s of other girls to help them pick more girls up.
I’ve been there. But it took me less than two weeks to figure out what was going on, and get the fuck away from it. And I had NO ONE to help me. I called the cops and they wouldn’t even give me a ride to the airport after telling me I was in the worst possible motel on this end of town. I was 3000 miles away from home, alone, with no ID, no phone, and running out of money quickly. This small town girl right here, learned real fast that people can be truly awful. So… I GET IT. It doesn’t take a complete idiot to fall for the bullshit. It takes a complete idiot to never realize that they have the power to change it.  Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. And that’s the truth. Pick yourself up by your britches, and move on.
I also understand why former performers turn on the industry, but that doesn’t make it okay. You’ve quit the industry, struggling to make money some other way, you realize people don’t look at you or talk to you the same way because of your previous line of work. You are judged, and you’ve left the only community that accepts you fully, and praises you for your work. You feel the full weight of the consequences of being in porn. There are certain jobs we can never have, every person you meet might have seen you naked and vulnerable. Some people won’t even give you the chance to be a normal person. They will ridicule, and judge, and tell you how you SHOULD be doing things in your life. Lot’s of people will tell you they accept you, and then shit talk about you to everyone once your gone because they are jealous or offended by your line of work. People tell you you took the easy way out, that you are lazy and you are a sinner. Some relationships are never the same after you tell someone what you do/did for work. Surely people from your old high school have nothing but the worst of insults to throw at you, and your family members even.
